Mushroom Tea

I am so excited to be publicly launching two different Little Village mushroom-based herbal tea blends!  ‘Apricity‘ and ‘Soubhiye.’  These teas were initially crafted to compliment the monthly themed Women’s Gathering I have had the pleasure of co-hosting with Brave DIY Studio and Wild Roots in Lowville the past couple of months, and are available as takeaway from Cafe Z starting the week of March 17th.  (Retail tea tins coming soon!) Both of these teas have a Lion’s Mane base.  Lion’s mane contains both Hericenones and erinacines compounds which are currently being studied for their potential to stimulate nerve growth in the brain.  ‘Apricity‘, is a blend of  Lion’s mane, tulsi (holy basil), lemon balm, green rooibos, hibiscus and ginger formulated to boost both your body and mind with herbs that are high in  antioxidants, and which are also found to have positive effects on both mood and the immune system.  ‘Soubhiye‘ is a delicious combination of  Lion’s mane, cacao husk, orange peel, red rooibos, cinnamon, and peppercorn.  The cacao husk lends a delightful essence of chocolate to the tea while also being rich in a compound called theobromine which naturally lowers blood pressure and is also high in antioxidants and iron.  It has also been found to potentially be a mood-booster, since it stimulates blood flow to the brain, and is also thought to aid in stress relief.  To this blend I also added red rooibos which is high in antioxidants, a little orange peel for an uplift to your palette, and cinnamon for both its high antioxidant content and anti-inflammatory properties.
